The Spartan Youth Football League (SYFL) is a football league for  kids entering 3rd grade through 8th grade.  Games take place on Saturdays starting in August - October, with practices taking place during the weeks.  Teams are coached by adult volunteers throughout the season.

Our goal is simple: we want kids to have as much fun as possible while learning football fundamentals. 

3rd-6th Grade SYFL Flag Football

We offer Flag Football divisions for athletes entering 2nd-6th Grades.  Our goal is to make the early years of football as accessible and fun as possible for any and all players in our community.  

Since there is no equipment that needs to be issued at this level there will not be any equipment fitting prior to the start of the season.  Coaches will be given footballs and sets of flags that they will use throughout the season.

5th-8th Grade SYFL Tackle Football

Continuing our long tradition, these divisions of the SYFL takes the next step of putting on the pads and learning how to safely play the game of full contact football.  This part of our program is critical in teaching the fundamentals of the full game of football while preparing them for their journey towards playing high school football.

Our teams compete in the Northland Youth Football Conference which includes area teams.  Because of this, there is some travel involved for our away games.  There are also playoffs agianst other local organizations at this level.

All players are fitted and issued a helmet, shoulder pads, and padded pants as part of their SYFL fee, and are also given their game jersey with their name on the back which is theirs to keep!
